SHE holds cookout at Stead Park, Washington DC for Solar Cooker Awareness Week

Solar cooking enthusiasts all around the world celebrated Solar Cooking Awareness Week 2021 from June 23^rd to 30^th in the northern hemisphere, and December 17^th to 23^rd in the southern hemisphere.

Friends and families met near Stead Park’s playground and splash pad, to:
– see various types of solar cookers in action and taste solar cooked food,
– hand out flyers about SHE’s international projects promoting solar cooking for environmental relief and human development.
– meet other solar cooking enthusiasts, share solar cooking tips and recipes,
– demonstrate our solar cookers and share our solar cooked food!
